New 12″ release on Neoncity by Vantage. Pre-order some ambient house. Beautiful bubblegum trap and more. Today’s a great day for releases in various genres. Did I miss a release? Let me know on twitter or instagram.
J-Funk City: Vantage’s Edits Collection by Vantage ([SRT012] Limited Edition 12″ Vinyl (Ships in 2 months))
I actually went to HMV last night which is known to have a massive collection of City Pop vinyl / cassettes in Tokyo, Japan. It did. On a self distict from other music was a whole section for Neoncity records. That was pretty impressive. It had Sailorwave 2 and then Metro City (Collector Edition) by Vantage. Who would have thought the same day he would release a new records on Neoncity. 12″ Vinyl now available.
Watching The World Go By EP by Harrison BDP (Watching The World Go By EP 12″)
Pre-order on a new house EP 12″ on Shall Not Fade. This is my first time listening to Harrison BDP’s music but from the single track available on this pre-order, it has a very atmospheric almost airy build up that I really enjoy in this kind of house music.
I didn’t know how to write about this as first. First up, it’s very apperent Acetantina as mastered the art of that bubblegum trap sound. Each track is practically a hit after hit which is insane because it really just draws you in to wanting to listen to the whole album. I want this one on cassette when it gets released (crosses fingers). This is a super impressive album, and probably the one I’d suggest listening to the most in today’s releases.
I think it’s obvious the first thing that draws you into this release is that album art. That blue / purple underwater lost city feel with the strong perfectly select fonts seppling out ‘All Night Seaquestria’ really sets the mood for what to expect from the album. From what it looks like… it’s a mock radio set list with v arious artists. So instead of just a mix, it’s supposed to act as a radio station. I like that idea. It’s a collection of different sounds but the mix is kind of inspirational. ＳＹＮＴＨラブ is always pushing boundaries.
